Seven-Eleven, LAWSON, and Family mart are popular in Japan, and each stores has hotsnack conner near by chaeckstand/register.

When you are little hungly before lunch or dinner in Japan, you should go to convenience store and try to eat the chickin. Let me explain the convenience store's chickin.
Family Mart
Family Mart is the first seller of fried chickin in Japan, and most popular.
Fami-chicki; 180JPY
Fami-chiki is crispy and juicy. The taste is normal.
Others
Fami-chiki 'Amakra-aji'; Aji means taste, and Amakara is sweet and hot. With the pepper, onion, and ginger. The price is 180JPY.
Famima premium chickin; 3stage seaoning. The price is 190JPY.
Spicy chickin; Based on Fami-chiki, and added black pepper. The price is 145JPY.
LAWSON
LAWSON has English web-site and also have other language wev-sites.
LAWSON has 2types of chickin, L-chicki and Ohgon-chickin. L-chiki price is 148JPY, and the other is 190JPY. L-Chicki has 2 flavors, one is normal and the other is chili hot.
Ohgon means 'golden' in Japanese, it is special spices are added. LAWSON prepares the bun for L-chiki as 70JPY.
SEVEN-ELEVEN
SEVEN-ELEVEN also sells chickins like as above convenience stores, and falvor types of chicken are same and price are same, however, the limited flavors are sold by area or prefecture. For example, there are curry taste or black pepper in Kinki area and Tohoku area.
Conclusion
There are a lot of convenience stores in Japan, you can try to eat the fried chickin! My colleague from US, he ate the Fami-chicki everyday. I also reccomend the Fami-chicki.
